That's the million-dollar question, friends. This will always be one of the first questions any pool shopper will ask when researching their fiberglass pool options, and for good reasons.
We get it. Price matters (it’s not the only consideration, but it’s pretty important).
Price often dictates what type of pool, and any pool options and accessories, you might get. You need to develop an initial budget and plan for any long-term ownership costs, and that's true for any pool, at any size, in any configuration you might want.
It's tough to answer this question right off the bat. Because swimming pools have so many variables and options, it's often tough to know the price until you've figured out exactly what you want and have had skilled professionals assess your yard to figure out if it might need any special approaches or non-standard installation work.
Throughout our years of experience, we have provided answers to this question countless times. Our goal is to educate every potential buyer, even if it means guiding them towards a different pool option. We'll do our level best to offer some realistic price ranges, based on real-world installation and accessory cost estimates.

Average Yearly Electric Cost $4,960 $4,960
Acid Wash Pool NA $1,790 Every 3-5 years
Replaster Pool Surface NA $15K-$20K Every 8-10 years
As you can see, there is a significant difference in the cost of ownership with a fiberglass pool.
Concrete Pools (also known as gunite or shotcrete): This type of pool is not available for DIY as it is specialized. Specific equipment and skills are required for this project. Typical turnkey projects range from $50,000 to $250,000 depending on how elaborate and complex the project is. The pro to concrete is you can get any shape or depth you want as it is made onsite.
As you see, there is a huge disparity between these two inground pool types. But certainly a factor to consider in your choice.
Florida Leisure Pool & Spa offers full service turn-key pool projects. We compile all the documents necessary for your building permit application, create the site plan and usher it through the approval process. Many communities have HOAs that have their requirements as well. It’s a good idea when planning your project to start with your HOA and determine if one, they will allow a pool and two, if they do, what they require. For example, On Top Of The World requires all pools to be enclosed with a screen.
